In this blog, find everything you need to know about the Coronation of King Charles III. We’ll answer some top questions about the ceremony and weekend of events. If you’re looking for ways to celebrate the Coronation, this article has plenty of ideas! Find top tips for decorating your venue and exclusive party supplies for the Coronation here...
What is the Coronation?
The Coronation is a royal ceremony taking place to crown Charles III the new King. The occasion is sure to be one of the most remarkable royal celebrations we will ever experience in our lifetimes. A service will be held in which the new King will take an oath and have St. Edwards crown placed upon his head by the Archbishop of Canterbury. This moving ceremony is just one of many events planned for the upcoming Coronation weekend.
The King’s Coronation is history in the making - an occasion for pageantry and celebration, with festivities encouraged across the nation! This means that a bank holiday in the UK has been announced for this special state event, giving us all a chance to get involved with this spectacular event and celebrate.
When is the Coronation of King Charles?
Exactly when can we look forward to the coronation of the new King? The coronation ceremony of King Charles III will take place at Westminster Abbey on Saturday 6th May 2023, kicking off the weekend of festivities.
The event has been scheduled to coincide with the spring/summer season of 2023, marking 70 years since the Coronation of Queen Elizabeth II in 1953. This makes the celebrations all the more special for many. The ceremony itself is just one of many events which will take place over the bank holiday, with many more celebrations spread across the duration of the weekend. Read on to find out how you can get involved...
What is happening for the Coronation?
Details of the big weekend have finally been announced by Buckingham Palace. The coronation has been anticipated ever since Charles was named King back in September, and organisers are going all-out for this extraordinary event! The coronation will be a royal spectacle like no other, spanning over three days and starting with two grand processions on Saturday.
The King’s Procession
The King and Queen Consort will travel in the Gold State Coach from Buckingham Palace to Westminster Abbey, where the Coronation service will take place. For the King’s Procession, the streets of London will be lined with crowds and spectators, with members of the armed forces in attendance.
Religious service
The Coronation service on Saturday 6th May 2023 will be a ceremony like no other seen before. Queen Elizabeth’s coronation took place 70 years ago in 1953, and most of us have only ever heard recollections of the day from our parents or grandparents, or seen in clips of black and white footage from when television was in its earliest days.
The Coronation weekend will begin with a service held in Westminster Abbey, conducted by the Archbishop of Canterbury, which dates all the way back to 1066. King Charles will take a coronation oath, accompanied by his wife The Queen Consort, Camilla.
The new King will be blessed by the Archbishop, and receive the royal orb and sceptres, which we last saw removed from above the coffin of Queen Elizabeth II at her state funeral in September 2022. The Archbishop will then place St Edward’s Crown on the King’s head. This impressive ceremony will see many royal traditions upheld - with the Coronation service having remained almost the same for over a thousand years.
The Coronation Procession
The Coronation service in Westminster Abbey is likely to have a similar type of guest list to the Queen’s funeral – religious leaders, peers, MPs, foreign heads of state – from presidents to monarchs and more. But for members of the public wanting to attend the Coronation in person, there will be a procession through London to mark the occasion, giving us all a chance to join in with the pageantry!
After the Coronation ceremony, King Charles and Queen Consort Camilla will travel back to Buckingham Palace in the ceremonial ‘Coronation Procession’. His Majesty King Charles III and wife Camilla will be joined in this regal parade by fellow members of the royal family - likely to include The Prince and Princess of Wales, William and Catherine. Once at Buckingham Palace, The King, The Queen Consort and royal family will make an appearance on the balcony to wave for the crowds below.
Coronation Concert
On Sunday 7th May there will be a Coronation Concert held at Windsor Castle. This special performance will be produced and broadcast live by the BBC for the whole nation to watch. In the same spirit as the concerts held for the Jubilee celebrations of Queen Elizabeth over the course of her reign, this event will bring global music icons and performers from far and wide together in celebration of this momentous historic event.
The concert will showcase a world-class orchestra, as well as dancers and entertainers. Performing alongside these stars will be The Coronation Choir, a diverse cross-section of the community choirs and amateur singers from across the UK. This includes NHS choirs, Refugee choirs, LGBTQ+ singing groups and deaf signing choirs, representing the many faces and voices of the country.
Attending the Coronation Concert will be volunteers of The King and The Queen Consort’s many charity affiliations. The rest of the audience will be made up of lucky members of the general public. There will be a ballot in which many thousands of ordinary people are selected to receive a pair of free tickets to the show. If you’re keen to attend, keep your eyes peeled for more details of how to enter the ballot plus the full line-up for the Coronation Concert in due course…
Lighting up the Nation
‘Lighting up the Nation’ will be the visual centrepiece of the Coronation concert. In this spectacular display of light across Britain and the United Kingdom, the country will unite in celebration by lighting up towns, cities and regions. Locations throughout the nation will be lit up with projections, lasers, drone displays and illuminations. Check out the information in your local area for details how to get involved with ‘Lighting up the Nation’.
The Coronation Big Lunch
Could this be the biggest community get together in British history? The Coronation Big Lunch on Sunday 7th May will brings millions of people together to share food and fun together, with street parties, picnics, barbeques, tea parties taking place across the country.
Her Majesty The Queen Consort is a patron of the Big Lunch, an event which encourages neighbourhoods and communities to get together for support and to boost community spirit. Described on the Big Lunch website as a ‘right royal knees up’, this is the Coronation event you don’t want to miss!
Everyone is invited to get involved and celebrate, in a nationwide get together of friendship, food and fun. From a cup of tea with your neighbours to a catered event for the whole community, no meet-up is too big or small, and street parties are encouraged around the country.
The Coronation Big Lunch is a great way to get to know your neighbours and the members of your community a little better. Thousands of events are will take place throughout every corner of the UK this May, as we take to the streets, gardens, parks and community spaces of our local areas to join in the Coronation celebrations over this special weekend.
At Party Packs, we’re here to help you and the people of your community start your Coronation Big Lunch planning. Read on for more, including ideas for your Coronation celebration and ways to decorate your home, street or venue…
The Big Help Out
The celebrations continue into the Monday of the bank holiday weekend when we’ll be encouraged to volunteer in our local areas, as part of The Big Help Out. The aim of this event is to use volunteering to bring communities together, creating a lasting legacy from the Coronation Weekend with a boost of community spirit!
According to the Palace website, The Big Help Out will take place on 8th May, ‘organised by The Together Coalition and a wide range of partners such as The Scouts, the Royal Voluntary Service and faith groups from across the United Kingdom’. In tribute to King Charles’ public service, it will highlight the positive impact volunteering has on communities across the country. The Big Help Out will encourage people to try volunteering for themselves and join with supporting their local areas.
Who celebrates the Coronation?
Absolutely everyone is invited to celebrate the Coronation! The event is sure to be special for many British people and members of the commonwealth nations who support the royal family, but you don’t have to be a royalist to get involved with the Coronation. Just like the fun of the Jubilee last summer opportunity for a party and a chance to socialise and mix with different people.
Essentially, it’s all about getting together with community members, neighbours, friends and families around the villages, towns and cities of the nation over the bank holiday weekend. Whether you’re planning a street party, picnic, barbecue or other gathering for the big day, find Coronation decorations, tableware and party supplies to make your royal celebration a success.
Here’s how…
How to organise a party for The King's Coronation
The first step to planning your Coronation celebration is finding somewhere to host your event. Community venues and outdoor spaces are a great choice of location for any Coronation party. Check what is happening in your local area for the Coronation bank holiday weekend as your local town, village or city council or organisers may have something in store for the big weekend. These sorts of events take a lot to put together so if you'd like to get involved in the Coronation weekend, you can volunteer to help with the set up or get the details of when and where the Coronation celebration will be held so that you, your friends and family can attend.
If there are no plans in your neighbourhood for the Coronation but you are interested in planning an event, there are loads of handy resources available. Check out this Guide to organising a street party on the gov.uk website which has lots of helpful advice, including how to close your road for a Coronation street party. There is also the official website for The Big Lunch, organised by the Eden Project, where you can pre-order a pack of information, ideas and starter tips for organising a Coronation Big Lunch in your community.
Alternatively, you can celebrate the Coronation at home or in your own venue. Gardens, pubs and clubs make great settings for Coronation events! Host a Coronation afternoon tea indoors, or to make the best of the British summertime, why not set up a marquee for a barbecue and lay out picnic blankets for a garden party on the grass outside.
How to decorate for the Coronation?
Once you've decided on your venue for your Coronation party, it's time to set the scene! At Party Packs, we've got an abundance of British and royal themed decorations to dress up your venue for the Coronation. Let us take you through all the essentials along with our top tips for decorating...
Coronation bunting & flags
Union Jack flags and bunting are a must for any royal event or street party! Find bunting for the King's Coronation featuring the flag of Britain in a great variety of styles and materials here at Party Packs. When choosing your bunting and flags for the Coronation, the main thing to consider is how and where it will be used. Paper Union Jack and Coronation logo banners, posters and bunting make great decorations for indoor celebrations and outdoor events under shelters, such as marquees, awnings and large gazebos. Paper bunting is a great eco-friendly choice too.
Whilst we're all keeping everything crossed for sunshine over the Coronation of King Charles III bank holiday weekend, you may like to consider a more durable bunting material for venues that could be exposed to some rain. PVC bunting and fabric bunting are great choices for garden parties, picnics and other outdoor events for the King's Coronation. Choose from a range of styles and lengths, from triangular pennants to giant flags and alternating patterns. Our exclusive Coronation logo bunting features the official emblem of the King's Coronation with Union Jacks. You can also opt for a traditional gingham style for a vintage British feel or red, white and blue bunting for a patriotic effect.
Streamers, garlands and hanging decorations for The King's Coronation
Gold foil streamers and garlands contrast well against a red, white and blue backdrop and bring some royal sparkle and shine to your Coronation event! String this 'God Save The King' message banner along a table or wall in your venue for the Coronation. These golden letters spelling out the national anthem make a wonderful decoration for a street party or Coronation afternoon tea. In our Coronation Decorations collection, you'll find a matching gold garland with miniature silhouettes of King Charles III. Combine these regal streamers with tissue fans and hanging honeycomb shapes to add dimension to your Coronation party space.
King's Coronation Balloons
Balloons make a cost effective and budget friendly choice of decoration for the King's Coronation - once they're inflated it doesn't take much to create an impressive display! With a DIY balloon arch kit, you can make your very own balloon cloud just like the one in the picture below. These balloon clouds look spectacular and take only a few minutes to do.
Simply hang your balloon tape across a space in your venue or along a table outside if you're hosting a street party. Next inflate your balloons - red, white and blue to match the Union Jack flag. Add in some red or gold confetti balloons along with our exclusive commemorative Coronation of King Charles III latex balloons, featuring the date of the Coronation. Once you've tied up all your balloons, push the knots through the holes in the balloon tape. This eye-catching decoration is sure to attract attention to your event - a great way to set the scene for the Coronation festivities.
Complement your balloon cloud with Coronation foil balloons. Display the cypher of the new King (CIIIR) with gold letter shapes. In our Coronation Decorations collection, find a top range of Coronation foil balloons, from golden crowns to Union Jacks, which you can use to create a King's Coronation helium balloon bouquet or an air-fill display instead.

These impressive lifesize cardboard cutouts of Charles, Camilla, William and Catherine are sure to bring a smile to people's faces at your street party or celebration for the Coronation. To have some fun at your party, why not set up a photo backdrop with these free-standing cardboard stand-ups, so that people can pose next to the King and Queen?

Why not deck out your Victoria sponge with an exclusive royal cypher of King Charles III Coronation cake topper?
Table Decorations for The King's Coronation
Dress up your table for the Coronation with paper and foil sprinkles, like this Union Jack and St. Edward's crown confetti. Table crystals are a nice choice for grown up parties but with events where there will be smaller children in attendance you may want to consider not including smaller parts such as these in your table decorations. Instead you can opt for tissue paper confetti such as round tissue pieces in red, white and blue.
Table flags look lovely placed along the length of the table in flag holders - choose flags with the Coronation logo or Union Jacks for a patriotic feel. Centrepieces add a great focal point to your Coronation table decor.
Coronation of King Charles III Novelties & Party Favours
Treat your guests with Coronation party favours to remember the celebrations by. If you're serving behind a food stall, cake stand or barbecue, why not don a British patriotic apron for the occasion? Alternatively, you could invite all your guests to wear red, white and blue. Street party costume accessories including hats and headbands make a great addition to your Coronation party supplies. Decorate your table with card crowns and tiaras for everyone to wear for the party.

Valentine's Day dates all the way back to Roman times and maybe even further, with some suggesting it came from the Roman festival of Lupercalia (this mid-February festivity celebrated the coming of spring with rituals to promote health and fertility). Valentine's Day was not known as a romantic occasion until roughly the 14th century and much of the story of how it came to be known as a day of love still remains quite a mystery!
How is Valentine’s Day celebrated?
Valentine’s Day is a romantic occasion traditionally celebrated by sending messages of love to partners, friends and family. Couples express affection and adoration for one another with cards, gifts and flowers. For others (especially the young!) it’s a chance to confess to a crush, with many giving and receiving presents and messages from secret admirers.
In recent years, Valentine’s Day has grown in popularity, with lots of us choosing to go all out and host an event for the special occasion. Let’s face it, February can be a gloomy month and a Valentine’s Day themed party is the perfect way to warm up those cold winter nights!
In this blog, we’ll share with you the top Valentine’s Day decorating ideas and themes for your celebration- whether it’s a gathering of friends and family or a cosy night in with your loved one - as well as inspiration, tips and tricks to make 14th February feel extra special.
What to do on Valentine’s Day?
First thing's first – before you can plan your decorations and tableware, you’ll need to decide what kind of event you're hosting for Valentine’s Day. From couples' romantic ideas, to themes for venues and groups of friends, there are so many fun and unique options to choose from!
Valentine’s Day Ideas for Couples
Candlelit dinner – The most classic choice of Valentine’s Day date, a romantic dinner for two is sure to go down a treat with someone special! Serve up a Valentine’s Day three course meal and adorn your home in twinkling low lighting to set the mood - with lanterns, fairy lights and candles.
Romantic getaway/staycation – Find a hotel or secret escape like a cosy cabin, lodge or romantic destination to spend Valentine’s Day with your significant other. It doesn’t have to be far away or anything too fancy, just a chance to unwind from the day-to-day routine. Valentine's city breaks, beach breaks and mini-breaks abroad are great ideas too if you have the time and money! You can choose to go out and explore your chosen location or stay in and enjoy quality time together in a new place.
Recreate your first date - For a sentimental Valentine's Day idea, use themed decorations to set the scene of the place where you first met each other or went on your first date together. Whether it was a restaurant, beach, cinema, nightclub or somewhere else, setting the scene well will transport you right back to that special location...
Movie Night - host a couples' movie night for Valentine's Day with your favourite films or TV shows. Rom-coms are great for Valentine's Day but you can choose whatever suits you. Decorate your living space with movie themed decorations and get your popcorn at the ready!

What better way to ring in 2023 than with a plate full of party food? Fill giant serving platters with a helping of miniature treats, nibbles and canapés.
Kids are sure to love this exciting party idea – after all, a late night snack is only allowed on VERY special occasions! If they’re a little too young to stay up you can always pretend its 12am for the “midnight feast” before bedtime.
The Lunar New Year may not be until the end of January – but it makes a great unique party theme for December 31st. Dress your venue in red and gold Chinese New Year decorations with fortune cookies laid out on the tables for your friends and family or guests. Display good luck messages and words of positivity around your party venue to welcome prosperity in the coming year.

How many years is the Queen's Platinum Jubilee?
In 2022, The Queen is set to become the first British Monarch ever to celebrate a Platinum Jubilee, that’s a whole 70 years of service! Her Majesty first took to the the throne on 6th February 1952 at just 25 years of age and celebrated her 95th birthday in 2021.
During 2022, The Queen plus other royal family members will travel around the country taking part in a host of different events to mark this historic occasion, but the main focus for all of us will be the big Platinum Jubilee Weekend in June.
What’s happening for the Jubilee weekend?
This summer, there will be an extended four day weekend bank holiday especially for the Jubilee to give us all a chance to celebrate with our friends, families, neighbours and communities. This will be from Thursday 2nd to Sunday 5th June. The Jubilee is a historic milestone not to be missed and sure to be remembered! The four day festivities will include all kinds of public events, gatherings, parties and community activities, to honour the Queen’s 70 year reign. Whether you’re a keen royalist or just looking for a reason to celebrate, there’s plenty of ways to get involved and party for the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee!
Trooping the Colour
This is a big birthday parade for the Queen which takes place every year, an amazing spectacle of over a thousand marching soldiers. Featuring hundreds of horses and musicians in neat rows parading through the city, this event is definitely worth a trip to the centre of London to see! Starting at Buckingham Palace, the procession will march along the streets of the city, lined with crowds of people waving Union Jack flags. Members of the royal family will get involved at Horse Guards Parade, travelling in style in gold carriages and on horseback.
Thanksgiving Service
This event will give formal thanks to the Queen for her dedication and service. After all, she has spent most of her life serving as Queen for the country, and is now the longest serving female monarch in world history! Taking place in St. Paul’s Cathedral, you can tune in to watch the live TV coverage of the Thanksgiving service on the Friday daytime of the bank holiday weekend.
Lighting the Jubilee Beacons:
This is an age old tradition for the UK – similar to the Olympic flame symbolism. The lighting of the beacons - shining flames of light - are a way to honour Queen Elizabeth II far and wide. They are only ever lit on very special occasions; for Jubilees, Coronations and royal weddings of the Queen or King. The plan for the Platinum Jubilee is for 70 beacons to be lit in each county throughout the UK in a nationwide chain of lights to represent the seventy years of the Queen’s reign. There will also be beacons lit internationally, in the major cities of the Commonwealth countries. If you’re interested in taking part or want to go along to watch the event, remember to keep your eyes peeled for your local Jubilee beacon lighting in 2022.
Platinum Party at the Palace
If you remember the Diamond Jubilee Concert in 2012 or the Golden Jubilee Party at the Palace in 2002, you’ll be pretty familiar with this special live concert. Hosted by the BBC, the stage event features a line-up of iconic entertainment stars and music acts, much like a festival, from pop stars to rock bands and more. No one really knows yet who the performers or headliners will be for the Jubilee Party at the Palace, but legends Elton John and Stevie Wonder as well as Ed Sheeran have all been rumoured to be a part of the line-up. The concert takes place in the gardens of Buckingham Palace and the Queen is traditionally there to watch all the acts, along with other members of the royal family – including Charles & Camilla, William & Catherine.
If you’re not lucky enough to get to go to this exciting Platinum Jubilee event, the concert will be aired live on the BBC in the evening of 5th June. A great alternative is to set up a big screen - either indoors or outdoors if the weather is good- and watch the concert all together at a Jubilee BBQ or community get together. You can apply to go to the Platinum Party at the Palace very soon – everyone who does will be entered into a ballot for tickets - watch this space for details!
Platinum Jubilee Pageant
The Platinum Jubilee Pageant is rumoured to become the largest organised event in royal history. Over 5000 people are involved - not just from throughout Britain and the UK, but from the countries of the Commonwealth too. This will be a display like no other seen before, with music and street arts, theatre and circus, carnival and costume showcased in a magnificent parade and performance around the streets of Buckingham Palace.
The Big Jubilee Lunch 2022
Out of all the events taking place over the Jubilee bank holiday, this is the big one that everyone can get involved in!
Buckingham Palace is inviting everyone across the nation to get together in their communities and celebrate with “friendship, food and fun” – this means get together events throughout villages, towns and cities, from BBQ’s to picnics, street parties to tea in the garden with your neighbour, are actively encouraged, with high spirits all round! Parties in the park and organised events are scheduled to take place in every corner of the UK and there’s never been a better time to get involved in the festivities. Here’s how….
Decoration ideas for The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee
At Party Packs, we’ve got plenty of decorating ideas to help you plan your Jubilee street party. Many of our decorations are exclusive and designed in house so you won’t find them anywhere else! Shop decorating kits and value packs in a range of themes and colours. Find Jubilee decorations with next day delivery options available and competitive prices. The more you order, the more you save! We offer a reduced price for 10 or more on most of our products – making Party Packs the place to shop for large scale organised Jubilee events, as well as neighbourhood street parties and Jubilee celebrations at home. Here are our top 3 decorating themes for The Queen’s Jubilee.
Union Jack theme
Union Jack decorations are a staple for any Jubilee celebration! These patriotic decorations feature the Union Jack flag of the United Kingdom in colours, red, white and blue, a traditional choice for any royal Jubilee, wedding or coronation.
Jubilee flags & bunting:
Decorate the inside and outside of your venue with British flag bunting. Find different lengths to suit all kinds of spaces – from homes to pubs and bars, marquees to streets, parks and gardens. This cheerful decoration sets the scene in true British style for a picnic, BBQ or other event. With so many types of Union Jack bunting to choose from, when selecting your Jubilee decorations, it’s handy to consider the material you opt for – it may seem obvious but paper bunting is unlikely to hold up in the wind and rain! PVC bunting is a hard-wearing choice and good value comparatively. If you’re looking for the most eco-friendly choice, our paper bunting is likely the best option, but the unpredictable British summertime weather in June may call for something more durable. Union Jack fabric bunting is a good compromise. Like PVC bunting, it can be reused again and again for other national celebrations, including VE Day and international sporting events.
Union Jack flags are also a must-have for any street party or royal celebration. Hand-waving flags get everybody in high spirits and having some fun. Table flags are a great way to decorate a spread of Jubilee food and drink, whilst large cloth flags make a magnificent backdrop for all your celebrations.
Jubilee banners & posters:
At Party Packs, we’re proud to offer exclusively designed commemorative banners and posters for the Platinum Jubilee, featuring a photograph of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II on a Union Jack background in red, white and blue. These decorations make a wonderful keepsake from the weekend of celebrations. Make them the focal point of your Jubilee party décor and co-ordinate them with other party supplies in patriotic colours.
Jubilee balloons:
Balloons are a great way to add dimension to any venue and transform your Jubilee celebration into a party! Decorate with red white and blue balloon bouquets and balloon arches with confetti balloons. Choose from Union Jack foil balloons in different shapes, or create your very own personalised photo balloon with your own message and picture printed on a background of the British flag.
Jubilee Logo theme
The official logo for the Platinum Jubilee will be displayed everywhere far and wide over the bank holiday weekend in June! The Jubilee logo was designed by the winner of a competition hosted by Buckingham Palace to create an emblem for the celebrations. It makes a great way to decorate for the upcoming royal events. At Party Packs, we’ve designed a stunning array of products and packs featuring the logo itself and its colours – explore royal purple, clean white and metallic silver decorations for a regal effect. Our glitter effect banners with lion and unicorn add a sense of occasion and sparkle to your celebration.
Royal theme
For a unique take on the Jubilee, decorate your party space in royal themed supplies and put the focus on The Queen herself. Our pack of four Queen Elizabeth II quotes posters display inspirational words from Her Majesty on colourful photographs of the Queen throughout her lifetime. Inflate an ‘EIIR’ balloon kit to create The Queen’s own royal cypher in metallic foil balloons. For a light-hearted spin on the celebrations, find giant photo stand-ins and lifesize cardboard cutouts of The Queen and other members of the royal family at Party Packs.
Tableware for The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee
Make decorating for your Jubilee street party a breeze with tableware packs to suit all numbers. Whether you’re catering for your next door neighbours or the entire street or village, find all the party supplies you need to serve up a delicious feast. Transform the length of your table with Jubilee tablecloths and table runners. Next lay out British flag printed plates, cups, napkins and cutlery in front of each seat. Serving platters are a great way to display the spread of food and invite your guests to help themselves to tasty sandwiches, nibbles and traditional treats. You can also use Union Jack flag menu cards to show the different food options available.
The next step is to accessorise your table. If there’s a seating plan for your Jubilee lunch, set out British flag placecards to let each person know where they’re sitting. You can add red, white and blue straws to your cups or glasses and even decorate them with miniature crown shaped glass decorations. Complete your table display with metallic confetti sprinkled along the centre.
Serving utensils, clamshell burger boxes and chip scoops are ideal for BBQ’s and food stalls whilst card lunch boxes and vintage style gingham pattern printed tablecovers spread out on the grass are perfect for a Jubilee picnic.
If the weather looks to be sunny, why not host a cake stand, afternoon tea or garden party outdoors? Set up fairy cakes in cake holders on red, white and blue tiered cake stands. Decorate them with Union Jack cupcake picks and Jubilee flag picks.
Fancy dress to wear for The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee
Fancy dress brings a fun factor to the Jubilee bank holiday weekend and works as a great ice-breaker for neighbours and community members who’ve never met before. Explore Great Britain themed fancy dress costumes for all your friends and family, in child and adult sizes. Choose from Union Jack stand out suits, dresses and waistcoats. Don royal fancy dress with regal cloaks and children’s king and queen costumes. If you’d rather not go in full costume, Jubilee accessories are a great option too. Transform yourselves into members of the royal family with novelty card masks. Explore headboppers, hats, headbands, wigs, tiaras, crowns, bow ties, floral leis and more in colours red, white and blue. We even stock a Union Jack apron to wear whilst cooking up a BBQ!
Jubilee Party Novelties
Complete your celebration with Jubilee party novelties to bring animation, life and colour to the bank holiday weekend festivities. Smoke bombs in red, white and blue are a great way to kick off the action. Party poppers and confetti cannons send a shower of streamers or confetti into the air for an impressive display. Noisemakers, including blowouts and horns create a real party atmosphere at your Jubilee event and make great fun for children and adults alike.

]]>We've come up with our top 10 essentials and accessories for any beach party – whether you're party indoors or out, you can really make your party feel like you are on a tropical beach.
First on our list of essential beach party accessories is the inflatable palm tree. If you're trying to create a desert island theme or conjure up images of warmer shores, then they're ideal. They're 5ft tall, and very easily inflated. Standing one in the corner of your room, on sand is an option, depending on how house proud you are. If you're out on the actual beach and in the sunshine, they can be half-buried in the sand and work really well as an advertisement for you party. The best thing about inflatable palm trees – there's no danger of falling coconuts injuring guests. If you really want to make the palm trees stand out, you can try placing a few of our honeycomb crabs around the base to finish the effect.
We all love an excuse to dress up. If the weathers good, donning some shorts or a dress summer dress can really help you enjoy the summer, but the great thing about an indoor summer party is you can turn the heating up and still enjoy the thrills of getting your legs out! What you wear depends on how daring you want to be? Very loud and bright Hawaiian shirts are often a popular choice, but you could go crazy and choose something even more tropically themed - we have a parrot costume that has proven very popular with the men and will certainly cause a few laughs. For the girls we have Hawaiian sets which include a headband, lei and bracelets all at a very low cost. Not forgetting the children… super cute Monkey costumes would definitely complete the family look! Fancy dress can really help make a beach themed party all that more enjoyable. Bright colours and loose clothing help keep everyone cool and it's relatively easy to find an outfit to suit everyone's taste. Hats, hulas, grass skirts and shell-based costumes – all these things brighten up the party.
Even if you don’t want to dress up, you could throw on a colourful lei, carry a parrot handbag, wear some flamingo glasses or wear some flower bracelets. All no effort required. Other accessories may well add to the fun including inflatable sharks, pink flamingos, swash-buckling pirate swords and more that can be tucked under an arm and be used as part of the party games or just a talking point.
Why stack the fridge up with all the party drink when you can have an inflatable treasure chest in the centre of the room, no need to walk to the fridge and much easier for your guests. Besides who wants your guests peeking in your fridge?! Party accessories like these are essential – providing a practical use while maintaining the theme of your party. Simple, yet thoroughly effective and fun to boot!
Fifth on the list of our beach party essentials is the entertainment! Obviously a big part of any party is keeping the guests entertained and amused. We've found that photo props are always highly entertaining, the monkey prop will have you drinking from a coconut, the jungle prop will have you swinging through the jungle. Not forgetting the colourful cut out inspired by the great British summer holiday, nostalgic days gone by at the end of the pier, all will make great photo opportunities!
If you're trying to put on some entertainment, then coming up with beach party games is another idea. If you're feeling brave, you could buy a ball and invest in a net and setup a beach volleyball game – you'd better remove the breakable from the room. A game like this is certainly easier on the beach. But an under-inflated beach ball or a balloon would work well without risk to windows or ornaments. Other fun ideas include things like musical beach towels, coconut bowling, pin the coconut on the palm tree, bobbing for seashells, coconut shy and more. All to get your guests interacting and having fun while maintaining the beach theme!
What would a beach party be without a surfer? Where ever there's a beach, there will always be a surfer… these super cool surfer street signs will be perfect for a house party with ‘riptide’ ‘gone surfing’ and ‘shoot the curl’ signs. They'll help set the theme of your beach party before people even get to the house. If you're having an actual beach party (i.e. on the beach) then they're a good way of guiding people to the party itself. The beach is a big place after all.
Towards the end of the night you might have a few guests that need saving… all you will need to do to be the perfect host is to throw them one of these. Just perfect for them to hold on to in-case they feel they have sea sickness?!
The sea sickness guest will need the toilet… and this shark topper for the toilet seat will either make them feel worse or will make them laugh. We admit he is pretty scary, and we do avoid looking at him in our warehouse. I do have one at home to occasionally scare the children, which is purely for my entertainment. He may be No9 on the essential beach party list but he is by far the most entertaining…
Last on our list of essential beach party accessories is the tropical beach view. I expect we all wish to be sat on a hot beach somewhere, looking at the amazing view, going for a swim.. this insta-view prop won’t get you there, but it will provide a nice backdrop to your party where your friends can at least pretend…. Just don’t forget to invite your friends & family to your amazing tropical paradise of a party.
This is our top 10 list of beach party essential accessories. It is by no means definitive. So if you've ever had, held or been to a beach party and would like to share your experiences with us, please feel free to do so in the comments. We'd love to hear about things that worked! Check back soon for more party ideas from the people in the know – PartyPacks.co.uk.
Mum-to-be takes centre stage enjoying food and drink, present giving and plenty of fun and games along the way. The perfect baby shower can be anything from a simple gathering, to a more lavish event with both being styled to perfection. Whether you are planning your own event or looking to surprise someone else, take inspiration from our baby shower ideas.
Styling an event like this can be done easily. By colour coordinating and matching decorations you can create a clear theme. Adding stylish touches such as eye-catching bunting and pom-poms can make a truly wonderful event.
Decorating themes could include a rustic neutral country feel, the classic gold with soft pastel shades.
Adding extra accessories such as posters or garlands really helps create the party atmosphere and helps to effortlessly bring your theme together.
You may also wish to consider adding personalisation to balloons, confetti or cute cake toppers to really make the occasion extra special. Mum-to–be can really stand out with her very own sash and badge to ensure she remains the centre of attention, with additional badges for the all important VIP guests.
With a little creativity, games can easily add some light-hearted fun to your party and are largely suitable for all ages. Ever popular games include baby shower bingo where guests tick off the baby items as the presents are opened, and the all inclusive blindfolded stick the dummy on the baby game to really get guests active.
Keep everyone guessing with a humorous measure the baby bump game allowing each guest to estimate the size of the baby bump.
Or there is always the classic guess the baby food game. Sometimes served in a nappy for added hilarity, guests are asked to correctly guess which flavour baby food they are sampling. Add a little suspense and excitement with everyone’s party favourite pass the parcel where guests act out silly baby related forfeits after unwrapping each layer.
To finish things off and for those with a sweet tooth, a hanging pram piñata filled with sweets or toys is an exciting party game addition. Guests take turns to hit the piñata in the hope it breaks apart and scatters its sweet insides.
Don’t forget to offer up prizes or even medals for the winners of your party games.
It can be worth having a selection of other additional activities to keep your guests entertained and even create some memorable keepsakes for mum-to-be to take away.
Parenting advice cards allow guests to impart their parenting top tips and can offer inspiration and reassurance to new parents. A guest book allows guests to write a thoughtful message from the heart. A wonderful alternative to a book is a framed guest book where guests write a short message and drop it into the glass frame-which could always be hung in the nursery.
The ever-popular baby prediction cards allow guests to guess the new baby’s anticipated date of birth, weight, eye colour, and other attributes, often with a prize up for grabs for the most accurate predictions once baby actually arrives. You might even like to consider tattoos as a temporary reminder of your fun-filled party.
Another amusing activity allowing guests to get to know each other better is a guess the baby game. Guests provide a photo of themselves as a baby, providing an entertaining anonymous photo gallery looking back at familiar babies from decades gone by. See if guests can guess ‘who’s who!’
Lastly a selection of photo props and a trendy backdrop always encourage guests to take lots of memorable photos alongside mum-to-be.
Most guests like to purchase baby a small gift to be opened at the shower. It can be great fun to all gather round and watch mum-to-be open presents for her new arrival, marvelling at the tiny outfits, petite accessories such as hats and socks, or the all important, yet slightly less glamorous bundles of little nappies and baby wipes. Give stylishly with nappies presented as a large multi tiered cake, tied together with ribbon or wrapped in cellophane.
Multi-packs of basics such as vests and sleep suits are always a winner, alongside hats and socks. Think seasonally when buying any clothing to ensure it will fit baby for the appropriate season.
More sentimental gifts can be given and kept for a lifetime such as hand and foot imprint kits, or a baby journal celebrating their first year. Milestone cards ensure every key event is captured, and even kept in baby’s very own first photo album. A month-by-month photo blanket provides the perfect backdrop for parents to remember to take regular photos to chart baby’s growth.
Baby gifts can also include gifts to go in the nursery. This could include cute artwork or a mobile to be hung above the cot.
When choosing gifts for the mother why not consider contributing towards a pregnancy pamper session, or even a spa voucher to provide some much needed relaxation after baby has arrived. Presents that can be used in the run up to, and immediately after the birth can be incredibly thoughtful.
Consider writing up vouchers with personal offers of delivering hot meals, providing cleaning sessions, babysitting so mum can take a break, or offer to take older siblings out for the day to give mum some peace. Coffee shop vouchers or online shopping vouchers are always well received by new parents.
Alternatively a hamper with some essentials in is easy to create. Think hand cream, lip balm, nipple cream, pillow mist sleep spray, biscuits, hot chocolate and sweets-the options are endless.
Vouchers for a new-born photography session allow new parents to capture the early days with their wondrous baby and provide long lasting memories.
Use the invitation to set the tone and give your guests the essential information they need. Make sure guests know what time they need to arrive and where, and most importantly whether the it's a surprise. Give details of whether food and drink will be provided or if you would like them to contribute.
Try to find a venue that suits everyone and perhaps ask guests to contribute with some help with setting up. Add details on the invitation of a baby shower gift registry if there is one to ensure mum-to-be gets the essentials for her new arrival.
A clear theme can really help bring your event together and creates a fantastic first impression to your guests. The theme can be guided by mum-to-be. Perhaps consider her own personal style and taste as a guide. For further inspiration consider taking a look at her favourite book/film and work from there such as Alice in Wonderland.
A nursery theme including rocking horse, dummy and cot images can work well.
Add more detail to your theme with hand crafted (or even cheat hand craft style) accessories to really make the event stand out.
A tea party theme allows guests to mingle informally. This works especially well with additional decorations such as bunting, ditsy floral mismatched teacups and saucers served alongside classic sandwiches and scones.
There is a wide range of party favours available which can be given to guests as a fun reminder of the occasion. Miniature dummies, sweets, and biscuits work well as favours.
Favours can be presented in a party bag, matching the theme where possible. Personalisation also offers guests a little reminder of the event.
A boys shower does not need to stick to traditional blue, however this can always be used as a theme colour alongside another added element such as elephants. Use miniature elephant logos or teddy bears on the invite and repeat again on accessories such as napkins, balloons and the tablecloth to create an easy theme your guests will love. Add blue accents with simple accessories such as straws and balloons.
Other ideas for a boys shower include the ever popular dinosaur theme, or even the alternative and slightly more adventurous pirate theme.
Pink is often a staple theme used for a girls shower. Allow your creativity to run wild by creating a theme with added extras such as pink pom poms paper straws and balloons.
However in recent years this has been mixed up with ever more eclectic and magical themes such as the unicorn.
A feminine mermaid theme always works well for a girls baby shower. Link your theme together with paper cups, table centre pieces, candles and table confetti.
A vibrant eye-catching display of balloons can create a more dramatic entrance to wow your guests such as a balloon backdrop wall or an entrance archway especially if it contains eye-catching confetti filled balloons.

Taking inspiration from Mexican fiestas as well as the bright colours used in Indian and Moroccan style weddings, this will involve lots of brightly coloured turquoise, fuchsia, burnt orange and purple decorations on both the wedding tables and on the marquee. I began my research by looking for brightly coloured wedding themes, but I wanted to make sure I stuck to a colour palette otherwise it might end up looking like a car crash.
I stumbled upon Cinco de Mayo, a Mexican Festival celebrated every year on 5th May and I've taken lots of inspiration from the brightly coloured flags, bunting and flowers used in the brightly coloured Mexican celebrations. Cinco de Mayo commemorates the Mexican army’s 1862 victory over France at the Battle of Puebla during the Franco-Mexican War (1861-1867). Cinco de Mayo traditions include parades, mariachi music performances and vibrant street festivals. I also took inspiration from lavish Moroccan and Indian celebrations with their colourful fabrics, glassware and lanterns. Have a look at our Pinterest board for colourful Mexican Fiesta Wedding theme colours and inspiration.
As well as looking spectacular, one of the benefits of having a brightly coloured wedding theme is that you can be a bit less regimented about everything matching, so you can go all out on decorating your wedding venue. I was quoted over £1000 to decorate the wedding marquee the way I wanted it, so in keeping with our money saving, DIY wedding we have decided to decorate it ourselves.
I think the key to deciding on a theme is of course working out what styles you like, but also will work best with your venue. For example if you have a beautiful old barn, then you can have really simple, natural style decorations and don't have to spend money on swags to cover the roof etc. If, however, you have a slightly worn marquee like me then you need to think about how best to cover/distract from the odd grubby mark.
The height of the venue is also something to take into consideration. Our marquee is quite tall, therefore we need to think about using fabric to create a false ceiling, so it feels more intimate and doesn't feel too cavernous. This is extremely easy to do and can be created with the use of a beam hung from the ceiling and then draping the material over the top. This also saves on the cost of having to cover the whole inside of the marquee. We've decided to use cream/white swags for the ceiling so we can go colour mad on the tables and the sides of the marquee. Luckily it appears that lost of others share my love of brightly coloured wedding decorations and party packs have some gorgeous fiesta decorations in stock.
The Mexican Fiesta decorations range is perfect to add colour to the wedding using a combination of brightly coloured Mexican bunting and beautiful Mexican Fiesta honeycomb garlands and tissue balls.
This fabulous floral fiesta bunting consists of 4m paper bunting with pink satin lace, 10 flags in 5 different colours. Each flag measures 24cm (9 1/2") x 20cm (8"). This would look great around the outside of a wedding marquee, lining a walkway or even strung along edge of the top table.
This quirky mini Mexican fiesta tissue wedding garland in bright pink, green, yellow, purple and orange on a 5 metre ribbon works really well strung along the edges of a marquee and is a perfect match for the other bright Mexican fiesta decorations in the range.
I've gone for a classic Mexican Fiesta colour combination of bright pink and turquoise paper table covers layered on top of each other with burnt orange napkins; hot pink paper paper tablecloth, turquoise paper table cover with bittersweet orange 2 ply dinner napkins.
These pretty metal Moroccan style wedding favour baskets will look great on a Mexican or Moroccan style wedding table, either to hold wedding favours such as sweets or even as candle holders. Or you could tie these boho wedding luggage tags in them and double up as wedding table place names.
I'm not a massive fan of chair covers and they are also expensive at £1-£2 per chair, which would be £100 of our wedding budget. But I've found the perfect alternative with these bright Mexican fiesta crepe streamers and at 90p per 81ft then they are extremely low cost. As a rough guide, with 4-5 different colours, each chair would require around 1m of streamer so each roll would do 24 chairs. So 4 x rolls of each colour streamer works out at just £14.40 which is not just cheaper but looks so much better than boring chair covers.
I chose the turquoise crepe streamer, orange crepe streamer and purple crepe streamer. I wanted to do a practice run and mock up a wedding table to see what the colours looked like together, so I commandeered my Mum's conservatory table and mocked up my wedding table using some glass bottles and flowers to jazz it up a bit.
I used one of the table covers folded in half to go underneath and then used the other one as a runner. And here's my finished wedding table. I absolutely love the bright colours and I think this combination works perfectly together. Once it has more flowers, crockery etc on it I think it will be absolutely perfect for my brightly coloured Mexican Fiesta themed wedding.

Ideal as a birthday party theme idea for men and women of all ages, a Vegas theme casino night will truly give guests a bit of excitement. Allow them to enjoy your very own indoor amusement park of dreams by transforming your venue with some simple decorations recreating the sights and sounds of Vegas. Party games naturally include Blackjack, Roulette or you could even recreate the fruit machines by asking guests to line up and present their fruit to see if they match.
Add to the casino theme fun with some photo booth props so guests can capture the night’s fun and games. Decorations can be added to tables, ceilings and even doorways. Use banners, balloons and hanging ceiling swirl decorations with the iconic red and black symbols from a pack of cards.
Continue your casino party theme with party food using casino card picks for cocktail sausages, platters of meats and cheeses or olives for quick snacking on the go while your guests gamble the night away.
Popular with both adults and children alike, why not transform your birthday party venue into Hogwarts for a magical celebration. You could add a sorting hat to divide your guests into teams for a series of Harry Potter inspired party games.
Put a spin on things with ‘pin the glasses on Harry Potter’ or perhaps a ‘golden snitch treasure hunt’ around your venue. For some livelier Harry Potter party games why not give DIY ‘Table Quidditch’ a try with beer pong cups in position at either end of the table.
Decorations can include life-size cutouts of your favourite Harry Potter characters, bunting, balloons, banners and backdrops to recreate the magical world of Harry Potter.
Official Harry Potter tableware always looks amazing at an adult birthday party. Team these with a real Hogwarts feast including ‘Huffle puffs’ (cheese puffs), ‘magic wands’ (breadsticks), and a bubbling cauldron of ‘invisibility potion’ (fruit juice) to keep your guests fed and watered. A wizard themed birthday cake looks great as a table centerpiece, and any leftovers can be popped into Harry Potter party bags to take away.
Whether you’re turning 21or 90, don’t be shy, why not make your milestone birthday the party theme! Simply decorate your venue around your age theme, letting guests celebrate your milestone birthday in the best way. Balloons and banners celebrating your age are a great starting point, or you could put the spotlight on the decade you were born by choosing some music or celebrities from the era as a focal point.
Decorate with number themed decorations such as foil or latex balloons, matching tableware and accessories. Team this with matching napkins cups, tablecloths and hanging string decorations. Ensure the little details also include your milestone birthday age such as table confetti and a cake topper.
Birthday cookies featuring your milestone age are a great alternative to birthday cake. Add to the milestone birthday party theme with some personalised bunting to celebrate your age, and make sure its also included on any birthday party invitations and napkins too.
A funky 1980’s themed adult birthday party theme gives guests a great excuse to get dressed up channeling some 80’s fashion icons. Full of loud colours and extreme fashion the 80’s were a unique era. Think neon colours, spandex, leg warmers and the obligatory perm to get the true look. Any guest will want to come in costume to this retro party.
Make sure to create a fitting playlist for your guests to dance the night away to including some of the 1980’s greatest musical icons such as Prince, U2, R.E.M., Whitney Houston, Tina Turner and Madonna.
Try some ‘back to the 80’s’ party games to really test your guest’s knowledge of the decade such as an 80’s trivia treasure hunt, a techno themed musical statues game perhaps, or ‘name that film’ quiz using anonymised film posters leaving guests to fill in the blanks.
With decorations and party bags think neon colours such as hot pink and lime green. Put up some 80’s posters to transport guests back in time and include some printed pictures of 80’s icons such as Madonna, Wham, The A-Team, ET. Why not replay some top 80’s films on a projector in the background such as Knight Rider, Indiana Jones, and The Goonies.
Add a little ‘zig-a-zig-aaaah’ to your adult birthday party with a 1990’s party. The 1990’s were defined by the rise in feminism, beginning of the Internet and new technologies. Some of the decade’s most iconic figures such as the Spice Girls, Take That, the Fresh Prince and Britney Spears provide some great fancy dress inspiration and topical background music for your birthday party.
Include references to the decade as key decoration staples to ensure your guests feel as though they’re back partying in the 90’s. Use iconic slogans from the era such as the classic smiley face, and posters for long forgotten products such as Lucky Charms and Mountain Dew to transport guests back in time.
For 1990’s fancy dress think along the lines of snakeskin or velvet fabrics, accessorising with headbands, halter neck tops, leather jackets with shoulder pads and shell suits. Alternatively dress as a key 1990’s figure such as a member of Baywatch, the Spice Girls, Blur, Oasis, the Fresh Prince himself, Mr. Blobby, Super Mario or any other favourite 1990’s icon.
Celebrate Cool Britannia with props such as Union Jack bunting and red, blue and white balloons for a 1990’s vibe. Add a little neon colour to recreate the 1990’s rave scene alongside glow sticks, temporary tattoos and cutout figures of your favourite 1990’s icons.
A glamorous masquerade ball is an ideal adult birthday party theme. Add a little glitz and sparkle for a spectacular masquerade ball using sequins, feathers, metallic tones and luxurious fabrics to delight guests.
An enchanting Venetian mask is an essential part of any fancy dress outfit, creating an alluring look. Continue this enchanting theme through the use of black and gold party decorations such as crépe streamers, pom pom tissue balls and shimmering chandelier ceiling pendants.
Extend the charisma of your masquerade birthday ball with black gold and silver table confetti, tissue tassel garlands and bunting to decorate the venue. Naturally balloons and tableware will add to the spectacle ensuring guests feel the magic of the masquerade birthday ball. A shimmer curtain backdrop and some fun photo booth props will ensure you and your guests capture some magical shots of the evening together.
‘Grease is the word!’ really is a perfect adult party theme idea. Travel back to 1950’s Rydell High School and relive the Californian summer romance between Danny and Sandy. For party decorations choose a colour theme as a base, either pale pink with black in line with the official Grease movie logo, or red and white which are the colours of Rydell High School.
Ensure you play the iconic soundtrack of the film to get guests in the mood, including sing-along classics such as ‘Greased Lightnin’’ and ‘Beauty School Dropout.’
A perfect setting for a Grease adult birthday party theme could be the 1950’s American diner complete with milkshakes, popcorn and burgers-also giving inspiration for party food. Follow this with French fries, banana splits and cherry-topped ice cream sundaes.
Fancy dress outfits may include a black leather jacket wearing ‘greaser’ from the iconic T-Birds, or perhaps dressing as a member of the all-girl gang the Pink Ladies sporting a pale pink sports jacket. Key scenes from the film work well for fancy dress inspiration, such as the raucous slumber party including silk baby-doll nighties, hair rollers, shower cap and slippers or Sandy’s final scene with a platinum perm, red lipstick and heels.
Who doesn’t love the excitement and fun of dressing up as a superhero! Wear your fun fancy dress outfit with pride as you recreate the make-believe world of your favourite childhood superhero. Whether you’re a Marvel or DC Comics fan, there’s a character to suit everyone.
Get the look by channeling your inner Batman, Spider-Man, Hulk or Wonder Woman to really get into the superhero party spirit. Fancy dress can be a full superhero character outfit, or pay homage to your favourite superhero with simple elements such as a mask, cape or wings.
Decorations for your superhero birthday party venue can include bright and colourful action phrases such as Kapow! Bam! and Boom! Use clusters of balloons in your superhero colour theme for added impact. Offer guests a selection of superhero props to help them get into character and provide great photo opportunities.
Food and drink can incorporate your superhero theme think ‘Superhero Punch’ to drink, ‘Hulk Jelly’ and ‘Kryptonite Cupcakes’ all served on superhero themed tableware with matching napkins. Why not use a superhero figurine as an eye-catching cake topper, or base your cake on your superhero’s colour palette.
Party games can be tailored to your favourite superhero such as a Spiderman assault course using red crépe paper streamers as a ‘web’ or how about a Captain America ‘pin the star on the shield’ game.
Relive your youth with a back to school adult birthday party theme. Think school ties, chalkboards and graduation mortarboards. Don your best geek glasses and relive the good old days at a back to school reunion birthday party.
Use costumes and accessories to really get into the school spirit, think school girl fancy dress, Hogwarts gowns or perhaps relive your old school uniform colours (unless your old one still fits!).
Decorate your venue with educational accessories such as an abacus, atlas and alphabet posters alongside school images such as a locker backdrop to pose for photographs in front of.
Keep party food educational featuring numbers and letters and back to school slogans, whilst using world maps as tablecloths and glass milk bottles with straws to drink from.
Party games can include musical chairs, a classic school disco, and old fashioned pass the parcel. Party bags can include some comedy practical jokes and an apple for the teacher.
Throw a glamorous Bond theme birthday party to make 007 proud. For such a simple theme you won’t need many decorations to set the scene. Recreate Casino Royale with casino tablecloths, decks of cards and scattered coloured chips. Add ‘007’ balloons in black or gold as an eye-catching backdrop for photographs.
Party food is easy, with quick and easy to prepare chic canapés and nibbles your guests can snack on throughout the evening. Serve them on sophisticated silver platters in true Bond casino style. Serve drinks in Martini glasses for added elegance, either the real thing ‘shaken, not stirred’ or even a refreshing ‘mocktail’ for those not drinking.
A Bond theme adult birthday party with cocktails and sophisticated black tie attire will set the scene for an evening of glamorous Bond fun. Naturally a dashing black tuxedo is essential for the gentlemen while the ladies can opt to wow in cocktail dresses with diamonds, sunglasses and an elegant clutch bag.
Perfect for an outdoors celebration in the summer months, a glamping party is an ideal way to celebrate a birthday party with friends and family. Get the tents up and enjoy the outdoors together.
A glamping venue looks beautiful decorated whimsically with tea lights, patterned bunting and lanterns hung in trees. Use natural fabrics such as hessian for a more rustic look and consider giving your camp an official name for the event. Decorate your camp with soft paper pom pom clusters, comfortable floor cushions and blankets to keep guests warm when the temperature drops. Natural seating such as straw bales work well, alongside tree stumps and pinecone decorations
No need for fancy dress at an adult glamping birthday party. Simply get the look with some comfortable and cosy clothing or perhaps opt for a chic festival boho look. A flower headdress gives an ethereal look teamed with layers for when it gets chilly later on.
Party games can include lighting a warming campfire once the sun goes down and toasting marshmallows by the firelight. Guests will love a fireside sing along or perhaps an outdoor scavenger hunt to keep everyone warm. Food could be traditional party food, a barbecue or more snack based. Add a little sweet treat using a marshmallow station with an array of toppings, and a midnight snack bar.
Add a little sunshine to your birthday party with a beach theme. Get the look by using nautical props and decorations such as whitewashed lanterns, fairy lights, seashells and tropical prints. Naturally distressed textures such as wood alongside faded fishing nets and shades of blue work well with a beach party theme.
Party food and drink can also take on a beach theme, using tropical fruit and veg such as pineapple and watermelon as snacks. Use sandcastle, shell and marine animal shapes for inspiration from sandwich cutters, jelly moulds and cupcake toppers.
Dress up for your beach theme party with an appropriate outfit for a day spent on the beach. Think colourful botanic Hawaiian prints, flower head garlands and sunglasses. Accessorise with parasols, inflatables and grass skirts for a true Hawaiian vibe.
Transform your venue into a tropical island by decorating with a selection of palm leaves, tropical flowers, balloon garlands and beach themed tableware. Impress your guests with a selection of iconic beach themed backdrops and under the sea photo props.
Hold your very own pamper party with an indulgent and calming DIY spa theme. Enjoy a grown up evening of relaxation including face masks, manicures and pedicures alongside soothing hand or head massages.
Stock up on beauty essentials such as eye masks, fresh towels, and plenty of cotton pads. Offer your guests a choice of pamper packages such as nail painting, facials and massages. Party activities could include learning how to make your own face mask with all natural ingredients.
Decorate your venue with the warm glow of delicate tea lights, rose petals and self serve coolers of refreshing fruit water. Gold and pastel shades work well to recreate a soothing spa experience.
No need to dress up, simply wear your favourite fluffy bathrobe with slippers and a head towel to finish. Food and refreshment can include water, healthy snacks such as carrot and cucumber sticks with dips, and little sweet treats such as cake pops, marshmallows and cupcakes.
Recreate the glitz and glamour of the awards season with an awards night birthday party. Bring a taste of the movies to your birthday party with an awards night theme, always a good excuse to get dressed up and celebrate with friends.
Decorate your birthday party venue with the obligatory red carpet entrance, gold stars and movie night popcorn. Add a VIP entrance sign for guests, with gold mini Oscar awards to hand out. A black and gold theme works well to give your venue a luxurious feel, with movie themed props such as film reels, a movie clapboard and black and white film posters.
Party games can include an awards night bingo getting guests to check off events as they unfold at the Oscars. Give out awards to your guests for best dressed, celebrity look-alike, and even best speech. Get guests to guess the winners in each category and see who gets the most correct as the awards are streamed live for guests to watch.
Always a thrilling adult birthday party theme, a murder mystery evening (https://www.partypacks.co.uk/products/host-your-own-murder-mystery-night-game) can have your guests enthralled trying to find out ‘who done it!’. As one big party game itself, guests are assigned characters in advance, advised how to dress the part, and given key phrases to say during the murder mystery evening itself.
Decoration and props will depend on the setting of your murder mystery, but can easily be used to recreate a police crime scene, a night train, the theatre or a Victorian side alley for example. Clues throughout the evening will lead guests to find the victim, murder weapon, motive and finally the murderer. Anyone can be accused!
Dress up for your murder mystery role with key character props such as a wig, glasses, cigarette holder, string pearls, top hat and false facial hair. Food and drink can be a sit down meal where the games continue at the table, or hors d’oeuvres and nibbles guests can eat on the go. Try canapés, nuts, meats and cheeses, olives, breads and pretzels so guests aren’t too distracted from the excitement of the murder mystery birthday party theme.

If you missed out on tickets for the EURO 2020 games don’t despair, simply recreate the big game atmosphere with some football themed party games. Try out a little bingo ticking off key football pundit phrases, yellow cards, penalties and own goals starting with the tournament opening game which is being held in Rome on 12th June.
Get your guests to try out a quick half-time penalty shoot out for those looking to have a kick-about. Or perhaps play a game of ‘pin the football on the goal’ to see who can get the pin in the most accurate position. You could even blow up an inflatable football for a quick ‘keepy-uppy’ challenge seeing who can keep the ball up in the air for the longest!
Keep your Euro 2020 party theme going with football decorations such as banners and posters. Simple football balloons and string decorations always work well to add some colour and fun for your football mad guests. Essential to a EURO 2020 football themed party is a football fixture poster encouraging guests to keep up to date with the score sheet and even hold a sweepstake to see which team wins and who collects the winnings!
Add a little table confetti to create some more interesting table decorations alongside a portrait wall banner decoration featuring a striker in action. Ceiling hanging football whirls are great decorations to add in any venue, alongside some black and white fabric bunting or football plastic bunting perfectly suited for outside venues if the summer weather is good.
Within your EURO 2020 party venue why not consider using some artificial grass to recreate the bright green perfection of the top football pitches across Europe. This can be used as an eye-catching table runner or even as a penalty spot in front of a mini-goal at your venue.
A giant stadium backdrop poster is great for some guest selfies incorporating some EURO 2020 themed props such as whistles, flags and red/yellow cards. Guests can also have a little fun recreating their favourite football player poses with a stand in cutout and some mini flags to wave when cheering their team on.
Continue the EURO 2020 football theme with football themed tableware from plates and cups to napkins and tablecloths. Present your guests with small and quick-to-nibble-on snacks so they don’t risk missing a minute of the game especially the all-important Wembley final being held on 12th July. Use football picks to hold snacks together and avoid making a mess when celebrating goals.
With savoury snacks think nachos and dips, pizza slices, hotdog sliders, mini-burgers and chilli filled taco cups to keep your guests going all the way though extra-time and penalties. For some sweet ideas why not try making some eye catching football cake pops, football topped cupcakes, popcorn and some pic’n’mix sweets.
Naturally a football kit is the ideal outfit for a EURO 2020 themed party. With 24 team colours to choose from there should be one to suit. Alternatively why not recreate the football kit look with shorts, trainers, knee high socks and shin-pads, or even goalie gloves for those up to the challenge.
Another key figure you could dress as the EUFA EURO 2020 cartoon mascot Skillzy! This ‘larger than life character inspired by freestyling, street and panna culture’ is an entertaining animated footballer with skills in tricks and flicks alike. The winner of Your Move: a Europe wide contest to find the most talented freestylers and street footballers, Skillzy is joined by four-time world freestyle record holder Liv Cooke from England, and former European freestyle champion Tobias Becs from Norway.
Finally wrap up your EURO 2020 football themed party with some football themed party bags including football related items such as a whistle. In terms of music, why not blast out the official EURO 2020 anthem ‘All For Us’ by DJ Wahlstedt to get guests in the party spirit. Take a nostalgic look back at our 1995 catalogue, providing the perfect example of party accessories to commemorate VE Day. Join in with the three-day international celebration planned 8th to 10th May 2020 with Friday 8th May designated as a Bank Holiday.
On May 7th 1945 BBC radio made a newsflash report announcing VE Day would be a national holiday held on 8th May. News spread rapidly worldwide, seeing communities come together and begin festivities early on 7th May. Recreate those patriotic festivities using the Union Jack as a central colour theme. Red white and blue bunting lined the streets back in 1945, evoking strong National pride. Use exclusive VE Day 75 years bunting decorations to highlight such an iconic date.
As wartime restrictions ceased such as food and clothes rationing, blackouts and bombing raids, naturally people were keen to celebrate the end of war in Europe whilst commemorating and honouring those lost. A VE Day party pack including all the decorations you could need is ideal for celebrating Victory in Europe Day. Add nostalgic images such as the soldier silhouette or an original celebration photographic flag to drive home the sacrifices made.
Original VE Day celebrations saw bonfires, local dances, firework displays, and pubs full of festivities. Add a little background music from the era to get your guests in the mood. Artists of the time include Vera Lynn and Marlene Dietrich alongside classic wartime popular tunes of the time, such as Pack Up Your Troubles, We’ll Meet Again, and The Siegfried Line. Use an old gramophone for an authentic sound, or simply as a scene setting prop for your dancing revellers.
Large-scale VE Day events were hastily organised in 1945 to mark the momentous occasion including parades, street parties and thanksgiving services. Recreate the atmosphere of the time with vintage style paper streamers, rosettes and Union Jack ‘waving’ flags for guests to flutter. Provide guests with VE Day party bags filled with post-war sweet treats such as lemon sherbets, pear drops and cola cubes to take home as a memento of the festivities.
The British Royal Family joined public jubilations appearing on Buckingham Palace balcony, with Princesses Elizabeth and Margaret even participating in a secret crowd ‘mingle.’ Use their frivolities for fancy dress inspiration, or perhaps Prime Minister Winston Churchill whose national radio broadcast, encouraged celebration, yet warned of the ongoing battle in the Far East and Pacific.
A classic white shirt with a VE Day Union Jack waistcoat, VE Day bow tie and a Union Jack bowler hat creates a nostalgic yet jolly look. Accessorise by adding some shiny medals to a khaki military style jacket to emulate the heroes of World War II.
Decorate your tables with patriotic little table flag decorations, adding Tommy hats and gas masks for an authentic feel.
Ration books give a nostalgic nod to wartime restrictions, not lifted until long after WWII.
Adorn walls with iconic motivational propaganda posters from the era, encouraging the public to ‘Dig For Victory’ and ‘Come Into the Factories’ in support of the war effort. Why not hang iconic Spitfire models from the ceilings alongside Bombers and Mustangs as used to win the war. And lastly don’t forget to a little revelry to your Victory in Europe Day themed party with some fun party games to get guests in the party spirit. Try a 1940’s quiz or ‘who’s who’ of World War II to really tests your guest’s knowledge.
]]>A 1920’s themed party is the ideal theme for any occasion such as birthday celebration or New Years Eve. This decade of jazz music, cocktails, ladies in shorter dresses with short hair, plus the first solo nonstop transatlantic flight, really was a time to party.
Young women pushing the stereotypical fashion norms were often referred to as ‘flappers’ with their shorter dresses and short hair worn in a bob. This playful style is ideal to recreate as an iconic 1920’s party look. A simple black dress with a fringed hem will work well. Accessorise with silk gloves, pearl strands and a feather headband for a classic 1920’s flapper look.
Alternatively channel the elegance of ‘Hollywood glamour’ in an eye catching sequinned dress with fringe edging for a playful finish (looks great on the dance floor) and a head chain worn in the hair. Keep warm with a glamorous fur coat while clutching a classy cigarette holder (faux cigarettes look the part).
For a more relaxed look try the casual golf ‘knickers’, knee high argyle patterned socks and knitted tank top with a blouse and tie. Another relaxed option is the longer length and slightly more reserved 1920’s drop waist dress with a looser fit, teamed with Mary Jane shoes and a cloche hat.
For the men its time to channel your inner 1920’s mobster - outwitting the prohibition laws in a suave pinstripe suit with moustache, scarf and obligatory cigar. Get the Gatsby look by sporting a dashing tuxedo, bow tie and cummerbund, again accessorised with braces and trilby hat or even a smart cane for the more distinguished gentleman.
Liven things up with some 1920’s themed party games. Defy the prohibition laws with some cocktail making. Try a cheeky ‘Bees Knees’, ‘Hanky Panky’ or even a ‘Sidecar’ cocktail, all of which were designed to disguise the harsh flavour of bathtub gin illegally produced during prohibition. Try asking guests to sample them and then guess the name of each cocktail.
Consider hosting a 1920’s themed games night with various games tables to entertain your guests. Many card games gained popularity during the roaring twenties, such as black jack or poker. A casino set up allows guests to take their chances and try to win some big bucks.
A good old 1920’s themed murder mystery evening is also a great party game to liven things up. Give each guest their character and a back-story to act out, with props to help them create some tension and intrigue. Hopefully by the end of the night, guests will have figured out ‘who done it!’.
The 1920’s were characterised by the elegant art deco style, largely featuring sharp lined geometric designs in black gold and silver. By using this as a theme with the decorations, your 1920’s party will look effortlessly stylish.
Simple hanging signs will set the tone for guests as they arrive, and you can add to this with a selection of posters, backdrops, ceiling streamers and bunting. Rather than single strand balloons why not add to the grandeur of the event with a balloon archway to greet guests as they arrive. Mix metallic silver and gold balloons in with plain black for a more luxurious finish.
Party invitations will also let your guests know what to expect at your 1920’s theme party. Some Gatsby style cut-out decorations also add to the party atmosphere, encouraging your guests to have a good time and really let themselves go.
Give your party venue a true 1920’s makeover with art deco styled column cutout decorations to give the appearance of grandeur. A little glitz and glamour can go a long way to decorate a venue fully.
The addition of some simple and affordable props will really bring your 1920's theme party together. These could include the use of fairy lights (raid those Christmas decorations) or delicate tea light candles/faux candles dropped into martini glasses. Re-use old champagne bottles with an elegant tall candle in the top, and consider temporarily borrowing family photo frames to showcase 1920’s art deco prints for the party.
Props for a 1920’s party might also include playing an old black and white silent film on a projector, or perhaps The Great Gatsby film itself. Add to this with a selection of 1920’s inspired music to get guests in the spirit. Think Gatsby soundtrack tunes for a modern vibe. Recreate the classic jazz sound of Louis Armstrong or get your guests up and dancing the Charleston to Scott Joplin’s infamous ragtime jazz.
For the perfect selfie opportunity add a decadent star fringe backdrop or a confetti hanging backdrop. Both provide some glitz and glamour for that perfect photo opportunity. Add a stand-in for guests to pose as 1920’s characters too. Take the prohibition era method of producing illicit alcohol as inspiration, by using a bathtub to store cold drinks for your guests to help themselves from.
A selection of appetisers and hors d’oeuvres were the party food of choice in a 1920’s speakeasy. Quick and easy to prepare eat and tidy up, these are ideal for a 1920’s theme party. Why not serve up a collection of mixed nuts, olives, meats and cheese platters for guests to nibble. Or there are always classic devilled eggs, a caesar salad and the waldorf salad.
Present your 1920s party food on stylish black or gold platters, with art deco styling to match. Try a black and gold tablecloth with matching plates. For some added glamour why not splash out on some gold or black cutlery giving a truly decadent finish.
Around the 1920’s food production and storage methods changed, with a greater reliance on canned and frozen goods. Mirror this with your 1920’s party food options offering popsicles, pretzels, canned fruit, and perhaps some sweet and sticky pineapple upside down cake. Popular drinks of the 1920’s included the Gin Rickey made of bathtub gin, seltzer and lime juice, a mint Julep, or the ever fashionable champagne.
A 1920’s theme party is a fabulous way to celebrate many events, leaving your 20’s and turning 30 perhaps, or even New Year. Remember first impressions count, so why not use a glamorous door cover to set the scene before guests enter the party. Add the finishing touches with some elegant gold or black table crystals to give a more lavish effect. Lastly give your guests Gatsby paper party bags to take away. Fill them with 1920’s chocolate goodies such as Flake, Fruit & Nut or a Crunchie, likely to be a roaring hit with guests.
]]>Celebrate your favourite record-breaking box office animated movie with a wintery party set in the enchanted icy landscape of Arendelle. Celebrate Princess Anna, Queen Elsa and Olaf the snowman’s epic journey to the far-off magical land with a spell-binding party, ideal for guests of all ages.
Frozen party fancy dress options are plentiful for both children and adults alike. Naturally Frozen’s lead characters are always a firm favourite when selecting the perfect fancy dress outfit. There’s Anna with her cheeky dimples and plaited brunette pig-tales. Simply throw on a burgundy cape and long blue skirt and the likeness is unmistakable.
Or there’s Elsa with her platinum blonde braid and bejewelled royal crown. A long sleeved icy blue gown mirrors the cool magic of the Frozen landscape. Sticking to the key colour theme of silver, powder blue and white will ensure any Elsa outfit looks the part.
For the boys a Hans inspired outfit could feature his dashing hairstyle, suave jacket with shoulder epaulettes and gold braiding, and knee high black boots. Alternatively mountaineer Kristoff dons his fur-lined tunic top and snow boots to keep warm in the icy landscape, with some rope looped over the shoulder ready for some thrilling adventures.
You could even opt to dress as one of the more minor characters - Sven reindeer antlers anyone? Or even a magical troll outfit! For a fun touch why not add some playful snowflake head boppers and really get into the party spirit without a specific character in mind.
A fun party classic for decades, why not hold a Frozen themed musical statues competition suiting all generations. Incorporate the official Disney Frozen soundtrack to really get guests in the mood. Following on with the musical theme you could also consider holding a Frozen karaoke competition and see who can really ‘let it go’, especially with the new Frozen II songs added in to the mix.
Add to the party excitement with a traditional winter snowball fight or even ‘Olaf skittles’ dividing guests into teams and using some fake snowballs and white paper cups decorated as snowmen. Continue the Olaf theme with a game of ‘pin the carrot on the snowman’ blindfolding your guests, spinning them around and seeing how accurate they can be in placing Olaf’s carrot nose onto his face.
For a warming winter treat, hosting a tasty hot chocolate bar complete with cream and marshmallows will thaw your guests out. Or ask them ‘do you want to build a snowman’ and hold a timed competition to the song. Use white toilet roll to wrap and decorate a willing snowman/victim. Get your guests up and moving about with a Frozen themed scavenger hunt around the house or garden, using Frozen lyrics as clues to test their film knowledge.
Key elements when decorating a venue for your party can include snowflake motifs, snowballs or fluffy white pom poms, and even biodegradable ‘ice queen’ blue glitter scattered across the tables for a more magical finish.
The central Frozen colour theme sees a cool palette of frosty silver, pale blue and crisp white. This is perfectly shown by the use of white or silver snowflake danglers and string decorations such as a hanging 3D mobile. Add a little Frozen bunting to incorporate the leading ladies Anna and Elsa into your decorations.
Balloons are essential to adding atmosphere to any party celebration. Combine simple plain silver/white/blue helium balloons together with some Frozen balloons showcasing the key characters. Dotted about the room or used as tabletop decorations these balloons always look eye-catching. A balloon archway with some added glitter balloons always makes for a more dramatic entrance and ideal photo opportunity, or a balloon bouquet for added party style.
Ceiling decorations can ensure the venue doesn’t feel too cluttered, whilst also adding to the Frozen colour scheme. Use a combination of pale blue, white and even lavender to recreate the eye catching wintery Frozen landscape for your guests. Crepe paper streamers can also add texture and depth to the decorations.
If the real Anna and Elsa can’t make it to your party, why not substitute them for some lifelike cardboard cut outs to greet your guests on arrival. Another cute idea for your party that also provides a great photo opportunity is the use of life size ‘stand-ins’. These allow guests to pop their faces through the hole and imitate their favourite Frozen characters.
Adding a little loose snow around the base of props, on tables or in doorways will transport guests back to the enchanted magical lands of Frozen. Quick and easy to put up and also to clear away, vinyl window decals in the shape of snowflakes can add to the wintery wonderland of your party.
Other party props could include card face masks for guests to impersonate their favourite characters and have selfies taken. This allows guests to really get into the party spirit and change their look without the need for a full Frozen fancy dress outfit.
There are lots of options when it comes to your party food and drink. Savoury options can include ‘Sven’s reindeer snacks’ with pretzels, chopped apples and sliced grapes. Or there are ‘Olaf’s noses’ with mini carrots for guests to munch on. Sandwiches can be cut into Frozen themed shapes such as Anna’s ‘frozen heart’ or perhaps a star shape. Reuse a shaped sandwich cutter to make fruit and other snacks look more interesting and continue with your party theme.
Sweet options are plentiful with tasty white ‘snowballs’ or marshmallows, and cups of ‘snowman stuffing’ or popcorn. Why not build a ‘North Mountain’ of Frozen coloured cupcakes, decked with pale blue and lavender swirled icing. Use snowflake sugar shapes or Frozen character shaped cake toppers. A bowl of wobbly jelly is always a party food favourite, or little macarons that can all be matched to the Frozen colour theme of frosty pale blue and soft lavender.
Drinks could be jugs of ‘melted snow’ or water as it is more commonly referred to. Continue the frozen theme with character cups and straws.
Why not continue the Frozen theme with tablecloths, and matching tableware such as napkins and paper plates to impress your guests. Keep the magical party theme going with some cups of icy blue slushies.
It’s all of those easy little extra details that really bring a fun party theme like Frozen together. Simply using bubbles to surprise your guests and inject a little playfulness to the party is a great idea. Once guests have enjoyed themselves and go to leave, ensure they are given a party bag filled with little Frozen goodies. Send them on their way with one of the Frozen character party balloons, for long lasting memories of a fantastic Frozen time.
]]>Enjoy a Shelby family get together celebrating their glamorous and garish lifestyle, overflowing with attitude and swagger. Ideal for any event, from birthdays to New Years celebrations, our Peaky Blinders party ideas will bring your Peaky Party to life.
The Peaky Blinders style has taken over the fashion scene in recent years, with an iconic wool overcoat and suave three-piece pinstripe suit for men. Essential to complete any men’s outfit is the flat cap synonymous with the drama.
A firm favourite is recreating the iconic look of ‘Tommy Shelby’ himself, with a crisp white shirt, waistcoat and long overcoat, teamed with lace up boots and some finishing touches. Style a men’s Peaky Blinder outfit with a distinguished pocket watch, a bow tie and classic black braces for a truly polished look those Peaky boys would have been proud of.
An iconic flapper girl costume truly epitomises the glamour and exuberance of the social scene during this era. Think dropped waistline sequinned dresses, fringed hems, and the classic Eton bob hairstyle. For the ladies it’s all about dressing the part, mixing luxurious textures such as sequinned dresses, faux fur shrugs, pearl necklaces and feathered headbands.
1920’s cocktail dresses evoke images of glamorous evenings spent dancing the Charleston and drinking elegant cocktails in a jazz bar. Elegant long satin gloves teamed with a cigarette holder often demonstrated by Aunt Polly, smokey eyes and rouged cheeks complete the iconic look. Dress the part for a glamorous evening, by ‘order of the Peaky Blinders.’
Entertain your guests with some Peaky spirited games. Well known for their love of gambling why not liven things up by adding a roulette table and casino games to the evening. Alternatively hold a race night where guests can place their bets at Shelby’s backstreet bookmakers and have a flutter on a filly or two.
Cocktail making is an ideal way to keep guests entertained and liven up the atmosphere. Recreate the decadent drinks of the era including a sidecar, bees knees or an old fashioned, or simply stick to a classic Irish whiskey as enjoyed in the Garrison Tavern.
In addition, music from the Peaky Blinders official soundtrack can help set the atmospheric scene. Guests will be transported back in time, somewhere between the murky cobbled back streets of Birmingham and the glamour of the racetrack.
Set during the 1920’s and 1930’s, Peaky Blinders draws on elements of old Hollywood glamour with its elegant style and decadence for those who could afford it. Add a little glamour to your Peaky Blinders party using a black and gold colour scheme to wow your guests.
Invitations, balloons and background banners can all be used to replicate the glitz and glamour of the Gatsby era, synonymous with the nightlife of the Peaky Blinders. Consider the use of a balloon arch, or two, for a stunning entrance way, and bunting bearing the iconic Shelby family name to really follow through with the Peaky blinders theme.
The use of props really adds to any celebration, giving your guests a true sense of the Peaky Blinders days. Ensure the guests know they are invited ‘by order of the Peaky Blinders’ with a themed invitation card.
Face masks of the key characters and life-size Peaky Blinder style silhouette cutouts will leave your guests doing a double take. Display in the entrance to greet guests, or use as a selfie photo opportunity.
Consider setting the Peaky Blinders party at their regular haunt the races or even down the atmospheric cobbled back streets using a backdrop for photo opportunities. Other props you may want to add include door banners, themed chocolates and posters.
Continue your black and gold colour theme using Gatsby style tableware such as napkins, plates, cups and tablecloths. Food and drink options for a Peaky party can range from canapés and nibbles to a sit down meal. Use key phrases of the Peaky Blinders on the menu to really add the finishing touches, such as a tasty ‘speakeasy starter’ or indulgent ‘Peaky pudding.’
Irish whiskey is usually the Shelby gentlemen’s drink of choice, with plenty of alternative options available. Classic cocktails and even a selection of more modern fruity ‘mocktails’ should cater for every taste. Cut glassy tumblers and stylish decanters to serve from look truly decadent, alongside elegant cocktail glasses.
Don’t forget the finer details in order to add swagger and style to your Peaky Blinders party. Look like a true Shelby character with the use of fake cigarettes/cigars, without the added health implications. Party props and wanted posters can also be used for guests to recreate their very own ‘wanted’ selfie posters giving them memories to look back on for years to come.
