Vintage you say?
The new in thing this year is keeping everything very 'vintage'. Yes, I too follow this and love the thought of vintage, quirky items in my house. From beautiful 1950's fabrics too up cycled and newly loved furniture, keeping it vintage helps to add to the rustic feel.
At Christmas, the 'traditional' colours: red, green, white and gold are vastly used in decor but I try to peel away from these.
This is where the theme of a 'Rustic Christmas' fits in.
Keeping everything very neutral and natural really works. I love adding a hint of white and silver to my Christmas decor.
Oh and a tiny sprinkling of gold glitter is allowed.
Here at Party Packs we really do know how to keep it 'Rustic'. And here's how.
Let's snuggle up by the fire
I love Bunting. No matter what time of year it is..... I have a design for every event.
Party Porcelain Gold Stag Garland - 2.5m
Vintage Noel Merry Christmas Bunting
Placing these different styles around your fireplace or even draped around your window frame would add to the 'Rustic' feel this Christmas. I particularly love the stag garland, it's subtle and would look beautiful even on your Christmas tree.
Royal Stewart Tartan Fabric Bunting - 8m
Although yes, this is a red bunting, I still feel it lends itself well to the Rustic look. As this is 8m long, this could adorn your focus wall in your living room or even be hung in the kitchen. It's such a lovely shade of red, that I don't think it would be too overpowering at all.
Keep it natural
When decorating for Christmas, a lot of people literally decorate their Christmas tree and nothing else. I however like to carry the decor throughout my house. This is one of my favourite ideas that I personally use every year.
Don't forget to decorate your stairs
Decorative Ivy Vines
By wrapping these Ivy Vines up your stairs and also adding our LED fairy lights
to go with it. It's a really easy way to make a space that we forget about look lovely.
Snowflake Shaped Garland - 5m
This pretty snowflake garland looks beautiful literally anywhere.
You could hang it in any room, behind your tree, in your windows or even just on your feature wall above the fireplace.
Subtle, yet fits in with the Rustic theme.
Don't Forget That Bit of Gold
Now like I said earlier, I love anything neutral and natural to fit into this theme. But I also love a bit of glitter. You can't decorate for Christmas without glitter!
Gold Glitter Reindeer Ornament - 23cm
Place this lovely reindeer orneament in your window or even on your fireplace to bring that little bit of glitter that we all need.
Or why not use as your centrepiece for your Rustic Christmas day feast.
What about the tree?
We obviously need to remember to decorate our tree in this style, to tie all of our rooms in together.
Gingham is such a lovely fabric that can be found in so many different colours so try these beautiful tree hanging decorations.
Red and White Gingham Decorations
Or why not try making them yourself. If your unsure, watch this space as I'll be posting to help with making your very own hanging Christmas decorations. So simple and fun for all the family to do together especially when the cold winter nights begin.
Another idea, when decorating the tree, is to get some beautiful Hessian Ribbon and just simply tie bows to the branches of your tree. Simple and effective. This ribbon also has some lace detailing to it. Not only can it be used on the tree, you could double up and use to make your presents look lovely and Rustic.
Hessian and White Lace Ribbon - 50mm Wide x 4.5m
Assorted Vintage Noel Luggage Tags - Pack of 12
And to finish off your beautifully wrapped gifts, add these Assorted Vintage Noel luggage tags.
Where to put the presents??
Well obviously wrapped presents go under the tree but a new tradition in my household that seems to work well is to fill one of these vintage style sacks.
You could use this instead of a stocking or if your feeling generous, as well as a stocking!
Vintage Noel Giant Hessian Santa Sack - 80cm
This definitely fits in with our Party Packs Rustic Christmas. For more ideas and products to get this lovely theme this December visit www.partypacks.co.uk
