It's Party Season!

It's Party Season!

One thing I love about England is the dramatic change in seasons.

I love waiting for Summer after a long, cold Winter and I love the Autumnal changes that come at the end of the Summer.

I love the crisp, fresh feeling on a sunny day in October, it's so refreshing after the humidity that can come with Summer.

I love drinking hot chocolate, sitting in front of the fire, watching The X Factor, going for country walks, wearing warm jumpers, eating roast dinners and walking through leaves.

And I love the fact that Autumn means that it's nearly party season!

There are so many reasons to throw a party at this time of year starting with ...

Oktoberfest

which starts on the 21st of September.

Followed by ...

halloween

I absolutely love Halloween and will be posting about it lots over the coming weeks, including photos from my little girl's Halloween themed birthday party.

Next up is ...

day-of-the-deadon the 1st of November.

bonfire-night

is of course on the 5th of November.

thanksgiving

Followed closely by Thanksgiving on the 22nd of November.

And of course ...

christmas

and

new-year

And that's not it!

There is also Beaujolais Nouveau on the 17th of November, St Andrew's Day on the 30th of November and Hanukkah on the 8th of December.

What do you love about this time of year?

The weather in October is my favorite of the whole year. I just love how it’s bright but crisp, and it feels so pleasant to be crunch-crunching through fallen leaves wearing your favorite boots and a sweater or a scarf. Just lovely. :-)
