The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee

The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Weekend will take place from the 2nd – 5th June. Over this special few days, there will be a national Bank Holiday to allow us to come together and celebrate the Queen’s seven decade reign. The Queen’s Birthday Parade, the ‘Trooping the Colour’ will feature a magnificent parade of soldiers, horses and musicians from Buckingham Palace to Horse Guards Parade and members of the Royal family in carriages. An RAF fly-past will be watched by the Queen from the balcony at Buckingham Palace.
Beacons will be lit throughout the United Kingdom and in the capital cities of the commonwealth countries. There will be a Platinum Jubilee Party at the Palace with live music and performances in Buckingham Palace gardens. The Big Jubilee Lunch on Sunday will see all of us get together for street parties, barbecues and celebrations followed by a Platinum Jubilee Pageant with street arts, music and carnival in honour of the Queen’s reign.
